We are currently seeking for Operations Specialist to oversee all aspects of the daily operations within Seafreight and Airfreight, Import and Export departments. This position is based at our branch office location in Toronto, Ontario.


  • Coordinate all aspects of shipment process, including booking, manifest, Bills of Lading and invoices

  • Review all shipment documentation to confirm accuracy  

  • Ensure all client instructions are followed

  • Assist other team members as needed to ensure timely completion of work

  • Maintain effective relationship with clients and answer general inquiries regarding shipment status

  • Track status with truckers & ocean and air carriers and keep clients/agents advised of status

  • Ensure shipments are released in a timely manner by communicating with customs brokers and cargo is delivered in a timely manner.

  • Follow up on client’s reports

  • Perform billing function including preparing client invoice and all required support documents

  • Maintain customer profiles


Desired Skills and Experience

  • Experience in handling Ocean and Air shipments are an asset

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (both verbal and written)

  • Proven experience in freight brokerage sales, with a desire to grow professional

  • Strong customer service skills

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines

  • Team Player

  • Strong computer skills
