time:matters targets high-tech sector with international expansion

Time critical logistics firm time:matters is expanding internationally with the opening of its first air station outside of Europe.

The Lufthansa-owned company has revealed that it will open a new station in Tel Aviv to cater for high-tech/semicon, medical electronics, agricultural technology and telecommunications demand around the city.

From the new station, time:matters will offer 90 direct connections a week to and from Tel Aviv.

"This will facilitate the seamless transport of shipments weighing up to 38 kg and switching between the various airlines at any time," the company said.

"Upon request, shipments can also be picked up and delivered, including customs clearance, which is also possible even outside of the normal opening hours by arrangement. Customers can themselves go online to request quotes and track shipments using the time:matters booking portal," it added.

time:matters chief operating officer Christian Mörtl said: "The strong local presence of some of our customers in the region, especially in the high-tech/semicon sector, played a major role in our decision to open our first station outside of Europe.

“We want to offer our customers the most comprehensive network coverage possible and the best service at all times. By opening a Sameday Air station in Tel Aviv, we are taking an important step towards further internationalization of our route network.”
