Half year declines for Europe's top three cargo hubs
Europe’s top three cargo hubs – Frankfurt, Paris and Amsterdam - all registered tonnage volume declines in the first six months of 2015. Data collated from the airports or government statistical offices show that Frankfurt – the top European air cargo hub in 2014 with 2.16m tonnes, saw a 2.1% decline for the half year to just over 1m tonnes. Cargojet in second quarter loss despite revenue surge
Canada-based Cargojet, overnight airfreight operator, saw 2015 second-quarter revenues leap 69.6% to C$75.2m, due mainly to its new domestic airlift contract with Canada Post.
