Lufthansa cargo capacity up by 3.3% in 2017
Lufthansa saw total group airlines cargo capacity (available cargo tonne-km) 3.3% higher in 2017 than in the previous year.
Group cargo sales (revenue cargo tonne-km) in the January to December period increased by 7.4%, resulting in a load factor 2.7 higher percentage points than in 2016, reaching 69.3% for 2017.
A full-year 2017 summary for investors published by the German flag carrier said that December 2017's group result saw cargo capacity increase by 6.6% year-on-year in 2017, while cargo sales were up 5.8%.
The group's cargo load factor decreased 0.5 percentage points in December to 69.8%.
